Mark Noble's red card - RECINDED
Just watched on Ted's highlights, shocking decision, an absolute stonewalled rescind IMHO

Studs on the ground, won the ball.... even in the mamby pamby modern era you'd call it a good tackle.

Kevin Friend admit or mistake...

Now let me see.

You are 2-0 up at Anfield inside the last 10 minutes, and your captain gets sent off for not hearing the ref's whistle and going into a hearty but clearly fair tackle.

And the FA expects you to shrug your shoulders and pat him on the back as he trudges off? Just after he had played his heart out for the team and scored a goal?

Righto FA, just shoot the game in the forehead right there.

Justice is done, now will they rescind the refereeing opportunities of the collection of incompetent jokers they currently employ to "referee" Premiership games and replace them with a) people that know the rules and b) people who can see over a distance of more than 10 feet

Re: Mark Noble's red card
The well-timed, committed tackle is one of my very favourite things about the English game. I'm guessing I'm not alone there as wherever you go in the world, whenever the Premier league is advertised on TV they show several of these tackles because physicality seems to be one thing that our football has that theirs doesn't.

Well done the FA for trying to stamp out anything that makes English football unique and panders to the kind of players who roll over ten times clutching their face whenever they get tackled.

Players need to respect the ref's decision, the fact that it was the wrong one is completely irrelevant. One of my biggest pet hates in football is players surrounding the ref.

It wouldn't have surprised me if the ref had given a yellow to Noble for the incident as the way he dives into tackles is often interpreted as dangerous. He needs to wise up and stay on his feet as a desperate tackle wasn't necessary

Agree with that. We should thank him for giving a straight red. As for charging the players for pointing out to the ref what an absolute clusterfuck he'd made of it....well that just beggars belief

No peroni. It needs to be done secretly in order for that to apply.

Must try harder.

He would never admit to being wrong. His best option would be to keep quiet.

Monk - You see it all the time in football, and I can never understand why so many of them do it, you even see it near the touchline on the halfway line.

Of course Noble's studs were up after he got the ball, it was a natural movement as he was practically horizontal when making the tackle, where else would he put his studs, into the ground? Could be risking a serious injury by doing that. It was always going to be overturned, everyone thought so except for our Mr Antly.

Re: Mark Noble's red card
Antly, no, I'm not misinterpreting your comments. You said that you could see why the ref gave the red. Some bollox about how Nobles studs came up after making the tackle.
I think you were in a minority of one. Bellendery of the highest order.
Perhaps refs should start sending off players with their studs up after they've just smashed a 20 yard volley into the top corner.

That is perfectly worded actually. Definitely should be the Clubs appeal.

Does anyone know if Referees are demoted after the FA has rescinded a red card?

I'm assuming that you're misinterpreting my comments as suggesting that the red card was warranted.

I didn't say that, nor do I believe that.

Antly, you can believe what you like, but your comments only confirm what a bellend you are.
I'd keep schtum if I were you.
